This training program describes the hazardous characteristics and effects of chemicals and identifies sources of information on chemicals hazards.
General chemical handling precautions are reviewed as well as task-specific chemical exposure controls. Proper use of personal protective equipment and good personal hygiene is emphasized. Emergency procedures including response to chemical contamination and spill cleanup are reviewed. This course meets the requirements of OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard.
