Samsung Galaxy Note7 Recall

Samsung has issued a recall of all Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices due to overheating concerns as well as the recall of any Note7 devices received as replacements as part of the Galaxy Note7 recall on September 15th. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has stated that the lithium-ion battery in these smartphones can overheat and catch fire, posing serious fire and burn hazards to users. As of October 13th, Samsung has received 96 reports of batteries in these devices overheating in the U.S. including 13 reports of burns and 47 reports of property damage associated with Note7 phones.

We urge all users of these devices to power them down immediately and follow the manufacturer’s recall instructions as soon as possible.
