Laboratory safety depends on every employee’s participation, cooperation and commitment to do their job in a way that is safe for them and their co-workers. All individuals working with or around chemicals in Yale laboratories will need Laboratory Chemical Safety Training and, depending upon the presence or use of other materials, may also need Bloodborne Pathogen for Laboratory Personnel Training, Bloodborne Pathogen for Clinical Personnel Training, Biological Safety: Part I Training, Radiation Safety Basic Concepts: Part I Training or other specialized training.
