Many different types of waste are generated on campus. Some of this waste is regulated by state and federal environmental requirements due to its potential to harm people or the environment. Regulated waste must be managed through Environmental Health and Safety and includes chemical, radiological, biomedical and universal waste. The Environmental Affairs Section is responsible for managing the disposal of all hazardous and otherwise regulated waste on campus. Generators of these wastes are responsible for the proper collection, handling, labeling and storage of these wastes in their work areas. If you have any questions regarding the handling or disposal of a hazardous or regulated waste please call 203-432-6545 for assistance.
Submit a waste pickup/supply request.
