Fall hazards are defined as a risk of falling from a height of four feet or more or when working over dangerous equipment and/or machinery. Falls may also be the result of trips and slips at ground level. Environmental Health and Safety has developed guidelines and tools to protect members of the Yale Community engaged in outdoor and indoor work activities that can expose them to fall hazards or dangerous walking or working surfaces.
