Medical Surveillance Requirements

Occupational health services and medical surveillance are provided by Yale Health’s Employee Health Department located at the Yale Health Center, 55 Lock Street. Please review Yale University’s Medical Surveillance Requirements. Yale University employees who suffer injury or occupational exposure to biological materials should seek prompt medical assistance within one hour at Yale Health’s Acute Care Department. Medical area employees who experience an occupational exposure to human blood, bloodborne pathogens or other potentially infectious material, may seek medical assistance at Yale-New Haven Hospital’s Personnel Health Service located in the CCSS Building, 20 York Street, from 7:30 am-4:00 pm or at the Yale-New Haven Hospital Emergency Room after hours.
