Biological safety cabinets at Yale are certified annually through a contract with an accredited certification company. Environmental Health and Safety will coordinate and schedule the annual certification for each cabinet on contract. As a reminder, paraformaldehyde gas decontamination must be completed by the approved vendor before any biosafety cabinet can be relocated. Contact EHS to schedule both decontamination and the required re-certification after relocation.
