A Chemical Hygiene Plan is required to state the policies, procedures and responsibilities that protect individuals in the laboratory from the health hazards associated with the hazardous chemicals use in that particular laboratory. Yale University’s Laboratory Chemical Hygiene Plan provides detailed information on the hazards of chemicals, including descriptions of hazard classifications and means to protect lab personnel from exposure to these chemicals.
