Yale Facilities employees have certain guidelines and responsibilities they must adhere to as University employees. See the Facilities Safety Manual for more information. Contractors performing work at Yale University must adhere to the requirements outlined in the Yale Contractor Health & Safety Guidelines, which establishes basic health and safety requirements to help protect university staff, property and the environment from contractor operations. It also improves site safety requirements for contractor personnel by raising standards in many areas, including pre-work planning, site emergency preparedness, fall protection and personal protective equipment.
