Formaldehyde Safety and Spill Response – edited from PRG-FL-EHS-031

This course provides information to all staff exposed to low levels of formaldehyde as required by OSHA’s Formaldehyde Standard. This information includes the hazards associated with formaldehyde, the means to protect themselves, and procedures to following in the event of an emergency. It also covers the OSHA regulation on Formaldehyde Safety, including exposure limits, medical surveillance requirements and regulated areas.
 

Learning Objectives: To ensure that all staff potentially exposed to formaldehyde understands the hazards associated with formaldehyde and the means to protect themselves, including engineering controls, personal protective equipment, and work practice controls. This annual training fulfills the training requirements under the OSHA Formaldehyde Standard (29CFR1910.1048).
 

Audience: All Yale staff potentially exposed to formaldehyde. Please note: The following course is intended for non-Yale University employees (i.e., MPM – Medical Practice Management). Any Yale University affiliate with an active CAS username and password, should sign-into Workday Learning to receive credit for completing any required training courses and programs.
