Researchers working outside of the laboratory in field settings face many risks. These risks range from ticks, mosquitoes, snakes, uneven surfaces, warm and cold temperatures, and being further away from emergency response assistance. Yale has created a Field Safety Handbook along with a few additional important resources to help researchers identify potential risks and outline preventive measures prior to venturing out of the lab to conduct research outdoors.

Please ask your EHS safety advisor for more information or to schedule a custom training for your lab group.
