Yale University has committed to transforming into a sustainable institution on both a national and international level, including launching a carbon charge program around campus in 2015. As a heavily regulated research and learning organization, Yale is required to have a successful waste minimization plan. In addition to waste reduction and pollution prevention, Environmental Health and Safety is assisting research laboratories in becoming more energy efficient and reducing exposures while educating staff and students on how they can save energy and reduce costs and waste. Read some of Environmental Health and Safety’s Sustainability Success Stories.

Additionally, if you have chemicals you would like to give to another program at Yale or you are looking for any available chemicals for your work area, you can list the information in the Yale EHS Chemical Surplus Inventory.
